The Divine Spark Within

In my work as a business and life coach, I have come to recognize that inside each of our hearts is a motive — a divine impulse to discover and express our unique gifts and talents. The form of that expression may change over time, as we gain new skills and seek to put them to work in the world. But that internal impulse — that divine spark —remains consistent. It is essential, not circumstantial.

When we are connected to this inner impulse, it acts as an internal compass, guiding us through a felt-sense of rightness or wrongness. It illuminates the murkiness of the big life questions: What is my purpose? How can I experience fulfillment? To answer these successfully, we must turn our inquiry inward. And when we do so with care, consciousness and respect, we are rewarded with an empowering discovery. We meet our “inner star,” a personal constellation of values that describes what’s of core importance to each of us.

Your inner star shines or slumbers based on how diligently you’ve pursued the ancient edict to “know thyself.”

Living — deep, juicy, real living — necessitates more than knowledge, though. It also requires desire and action, love and sharing, wisdom and acceptance. These are innate capacities. You were born with them. By following your inner star, your soul will demand that you cultivate your capacities to live a fulfilling life.

Working with a coach can give you the help you need along the way.
