Pray To Be Unfurled

It is said that we cannot create what we cannot imagine. I disagree.

We can set our intention that whatever is best for us shall come to pass. We don’t need to "image" it. We don't need to know with the rational mind what "best" means. Indeed, according to physician and author Dr. Larry Dossey, non-directional prayer has been shown to be more effective for healing than prayers oriented toward specific outcomes.

Often, we don’t have the capacity to imagine healthy outcomes — we’re too burdened by our own patterns. Surrendering to a Higher Power allows that Power to work best outcomes for us. This is not a mindless act, like saying with a shrug: "Whatever. God will handle it."

Rather it is a conscious, meditative surrendering. It is saying: "I surrender this situation to you, dear Creator, who is wider than the universe. Your intelligence is beyond my own."

This is not pawning off responsibility or power to some bearded old man, what I call "god, the dude". This is putting your evolution into Evolution’s own trajectory. It is saying: "The force that created the universe, or became the universe, I trust your glorious unfolding as evidenced by the beauty I behold all around. Please, unfurl me with your beauty."
